Iran Strikes 'Unapproved Route' Vessel, Declares Hormuz Closed; US Hits Back Within Hours
Iran's Revolutionary Guard Corps navy said it struck and halted a vessel that had "jeopardised maritime security" by switching off its tracking systems while travelling an unapproved route through the Strait of Hormuz, then declared the strait closed, according to an IRGC statement cited by the Guardian.
